WOOD BLEWIT

Wood Blewit is a reproduction of an original painting from the Native Collection - a series of paintings inspired by my love of wave gliding, edible wild plants and mushrooms that line the Cornish coast, and that indescribable sense of wonder at the fact that something called existence exists.

A bit about the wood blewit mushroom (lepista nuda)...
The wood blewit is a wild edible mushroom that gives me joy because it grows along the coast here in Cornwall, so I don't have to go to the woods to find it. Also, it's around in the winter season, when most other mushrooms have already disappeared, which makes it all the more special.
